Writing

Well, it’s certainly been a year! From launching Blood Reign in February, working with artists over the months to create some awesome composition, and of course, the writing challenge in November surprised me as to how much you can actually write when at full tilt. December’s been a slower month full of food, family and friends and I’ll be jumping into 2025 refreshed and ready.

Life

My old gaming PC from 2014 is still going strong but as it’s too old for Windows 11 (apparently), I spent some time and money building a new one (9800X3D CPU, 32GB RAM, 4TB storage and no GPU yet). AMD and NVIDIA are set to release/announce new graphics cards next week at CES 2025. I’ll be tuned in to that.

The new series of Secret Level from the creators of Love, Death and Robots released on Amazon Prime this month and the 10-20min cinematic showcases of different games were a joy to watch overall—the Warhammer episode especially! I'll be looking forward to the second season!

Question of the Month

Any New Year’s Resolutions?

I think most resolutions are more like nebulous wishes with short-term efforts attached to them. I prefer plans, and the plan for next year is to get book two fully revised. Works out about 2k words a week (better than 1.7k a day!). Then all the fun can start with beta readers and cover art in late 2025. That’s my plan.

Regardless, I hope all of you enjoy your year-end celebrations and I wish you all a wonderful 2025!
