Where Are We? - January 2025

Writing

I’m about halfway through revisions for Part 1 (of 5) of the second novel and trying to organise the events of the side stories and subsequent novels as and when I get time. I’ll try not to get too distracted by them so Hateful Tales II doesn’t get neglected!

Writing adjacent, the illustrated commissions I’ve been doing for Blood Reign may have ended but I’ll be starting them again once the second novel is released (because beta readers and copyediting cost money too).

Life

I made the mistake of trying Genshin Impact and I’m a little hooked. The game looks great on PS5 but I’m likely to stop after getting the platinum trophy just to free up time. For now, it makes for a fun game. After that, I’ll be on Warhammer: Space Marine II and the upcoming Monster Hunter Rise.

For reading, my short break ends with one that’s been on my list for about a decade: World of Warcraft: Arthas: Rise of the Lich King by Christie Golden. It’ll be interested to see how much of the lore I remember after so long…
