Writing

I’ve decided to further revise the first draft beyond where it currently sits, which means it will be in the oven for longer. Doing it at this stage means the revisions required after the beta readers have seen it will be reduced. We hope.

Some other life decisions that’ve been stifling my progress will be coming to an end in November which will allow me to devote more time to writing. It’s been given less time than the first novel at the moment (though taking up no less headspace) and I need to give it proper attention.

Life

Finally read A Game of Thrones by George R. R. Martin and posted my review on Goodreads for it here. The series was incredibly faithful to the book and even though I already knew what would happen it was an engaging read. I’ve only set the reading target to 12 books for the year (which I’m on track for) but I’ll likely drop it next year for more writing time.

Gaming had me on Astro Bot which was the most fun I’d had from the medium in a good while. Short, but a joy to play. Highly recommended.

Question of the Month

Will there be illustrations in the next book?

Costs be damned, there will always be illustrations in all the major novel releases. At least one for each part. I love seeing visual representations of the world in any form and it adds to the experience. Who knows, once day I may add my own illustrations to the mix…
